Where in the world is Sea World?
Sea World is located on the Gold Coast in the south east corner of the Australian State of Queensland.
The Gold Coast is a very popular holiday destination for Australians and overseas travellers alike.
Its attractions include some of the world's safest and most beautiful beaches, international standard accommodation, world class shopping and dining, and a picturesque hinterland. It is also Australia's theme park capital, home to Sea World, Sea World Resort, Warner Bros. Movie World, Wet 'n' Wild Water World, Australian Outback Spectacular and Paradise Country.
The Gold Coast is accessible by road, rail and air. It has its own International and Domestic Airport, with Brisbane International and Domestic Airports approximately one hour drive to the north.
When is Sea World open?
Sea World is open every day of the year except Christmas Day on 25 December and ANZAC Day on 25 April. Sea World is closed on these days.
All rides and attractions are open from 10:30am to 5:00pm. Gates close at 5:30pm.

What age group does Sea World suit best?
Sea World has something for everyone!
It's a place for all the family, with rides and attractions suiting the adventure levels of a wide range of ages!
From the adrenaline pumping Corkscrew Rollercoaster to the amazing Imagine Show, where guests get a chance to make contact with the fascinating world of dolphins, Sea World has something for everyone.

What is the weather like and how should I dress?
The Gold Coast has a delightful subtropical climate. Average daytime temperature during summer (December to February) is 28 Celsius. The average temperature in winter (June to August) is a very mild 21 Celsius.
The Gold Coast averages almost 300 days of sunshine per year.
Comfortable clothing and footwear is recommended for your day at Sea World. Hats and sunscreen are recommended year round. A light jacket may be required in winter.

What banking facilities are available?
Tickets may be purchased at the admission gates by cash or credit card.
We accept Mastercard, Visa, Diners Club International, American Express and JCB cards.
An automatic teller machine is located inside the main entrance to the park and EFTPOS facilities are also available inside the Sea World shop.
We recommend you use cash to purchase food and drink.
Can I bring my own lunch?
You are not permitted to bring in food & beverage items including eskies and coolers. Guests with special dietary requirements as detailed below are exempt from this policy:
• Guests with allergies
• Infants and babies
• Pre booked education groups
Guests are allowed to bring in fruit and bottled water.
What services are available for disabled persons and others with special needs?
Sea World offers disabled parking and a wheelchair hire service. Wheelchair access is available to a number of rides and attractions.
Disabled rates are available upon application at the ticket booths only. A carer accompanying a disabled guest for the sole purpose of assisting that disabled guest will be admitted free of charge providing a current valid "Carer's Card" (or similar) issued by relevant State or Commonwealth authorities is produced.
Sea World also caters to parents. Strollers are available for hire from Guest Services and Parents Rooms are located throughout the park.
Do you have a Smoking Policy?
Queensland anti-smoking laws prohibit smoking in areas other than the designated smoking areas.

How much does it cost to hire a Stroller or Wheelchair?
Stroller Hire and Wheelchair Hire is available from Guest Services.
Standard Stroller
* $10.00 Hire fee plus * $10.00 Refundable deposit which you receive back upon safe return of the Stroller. These strollers are intended for children from 6 months of age and up to 15kgs in weight.
Wheelchair
* Wheelchairs are available complimentary however we do require a $20.00 refundable deposit which you will receive back upon safe return of the wheelchair.
A form of ID is required. A limited number of Wheelchairs are available so we recommend you prebook with Guest Services. The hire fee includes GST and is per day or part thereof.
Can my children visit Sea World on their own?
We strongly recommend that all children under the age of 14 years be accompanied by an adult who shall be solely responsible for their care and conduct whilst on these premises.
Where can I buy my Sea World ticket?
All tickets can be purchased from Sea World's front gate. Or buy online now.
Tickets are also available through your motoring association in Australia, travel agent or your local Gold Coast hotel, apartment or tour desk. New Zealand residents can also purchase tickets from your licensed travel agent.
Who is eligible for a Pensioner discount?
To qualify for reduced admission entry as a Pensioner, one of the following criteria must be met.
- Holders of a valid Australian Government issued Pension Concession Card (PPC), including listed dependants will qualify for the pension rate. This does not include holders of Australian Health Care Cards. The Australian Pension Concession Card is issued to recipients of the following pension payments:
- Sole Parenting Pension
- Mature Aged Pension
- Disability Pension
- Holders of valid New Zealand Government issued Superannuation Card (SC). The card holder and listed dependants will qualify for the pension rate.
- Holders of a valid Australian Government issued Seniors Card.
- Holders of a valid New Zealand Seniors Card.
- Holders of a valid Australian Government issued Veteran Affairs Pension Card.
- Any person 65 years of age or older - proof of age is required.
- Disabled rates are available for purchase at the ticket booths only on the day of your visit upon the presentation of a State or Commonwealth authority's Disability Pension card. A carer accompanying a disabled guest for the sole purpose of assisting that guest will be admitted free of charge providing a current Carer's Card (or similar) issued only by relevant State or Commonwealth authorities is produced.
How do I find out the daily showtimes?
You will be handed a park map and list of show times when you enter the park.
Show times are also posted outside each venue.
Do you have lockers to store personal items?
Coin-operated lockers are available for hire with costs ranging from $9.00 to $12.00 for a large size locker.
Lockers can be located beneath the Mono Rail Main Station, adjacent to the Dockside Tavern and in the Water Park.
How can I apply for a job at Sea World?

Do you offer an Industry Discount?
Industry discounts are available to select Industry employees upon meeting certain criteria. Licensed AFTA or TAANZ travel agents are entitled to a 50% discount off the normal admission price. The discount is applicable to the travel agent only and can be obtained by presenting a business card with photographic ID at the theme park ticket booths.
